Since I am completely new to "blogging", I can only hope that this blog will improve with time. The purpose of it all is to record our cruising days on something other than a notepad (as I've done in the past) and to allow friends and family to keep up with us if they wish.
We purchased La Dolce Vita with the intention of cruising the East Coast of the USA, however we may head into the Caribbean. We are currently half-way living on her in our condo marina at Shearwater on Spa Creek in Annapolis while our kitchen is being remodeled. Being hurricane season, also extremely HOT, we will be plugged in for the AC unless it cools off enough for us to comfortably anchor in one of the creeks around Annapolis. We also are thinking about a short cruise up to Cape May, NJ, up the Chester River to Chestertown, or down the Bay to anchorages we missed when we went in 2010 on Victorious.
We plan to head south to Key West, and up the west coast of Florida to Port Charlotte and back, leaving Annapolis in October and returning in April. It will be a trip of a lifetime for us....something we've looked forward to and planned for a long time.
