Jacksonville Beach, FL - Day 3

Today's post will be short, mainly because I spent most of the day cleaning the boat.  The highlight was having dinner with Staci and Jeff, and seeing little Anthony again.  He is absolutely adorable and such a good little baby.  We went out for dinner, and the little guy slept through the whole time.

I also took the dogs for a long walk.  We walked over the Ocean Blvd. Bridge, which is just to the East of our marina.  It's a 65' fixed bridge that we will go under when we leave Jacksonville Beach.  I paused over the main span and took a photo of the ICW, with the entrance channel to our marina on the left....

I wanted to show the tidal change here.  It's not as bad as Georgia which was 8-9', but still much more than we are accustomed to.  Here it's almost 5'.....

At nearly high tide this morning

And at nearly low tide this afternoon

It was scary coming into the marina's channel at almost low tide on Friday afternoon....we plan to leave at high tide next Friday.  We checked our depth at low tide yesterday and we had 1' under our keel.
