From Charleston we entered Wapoo Creek. The Wapoo Creek bascule bridge was the only bridge today we had to wait for an opening, and we went through at 11:30 am:

Just beyond the Wapoo Creek Bridge we went through Elliott's Cut, which connects Wapoo Creek to Stono River:
Elliott's Cut
Elliott's Cut was very narrow, but had plenty of depth. When it opened into Stono River, we were amazed at just how beautiful this river was. I should have taken a few photos, but didn't, so I'll just have to describe it. It was very wide and had significant depth that we didn't need to worry, except for one little area where another creek merged. It snaked it's way back and forth. On one side there were large homes on acres of land. On the other side all you could see were marshes leading up to the forested shore. Eventually it merged with the North Edisto River, which was even wider and deeper. Really beautiful.
We traveled about 5 miles down the North Edisto River toward the Ocean to Bohicket Creek which runs north about 3 miles from the Ocean inlet. A couple of miles into Bohicket Creek and we arrived at Bohicket Marina. We found this marina and it's surrounds very beautiful and the people very friendly. After docking, we walked around the area with the dogs off leash. Between the road and the docks, there is a row of buildings comprised of restaurants, shops, and services. It's all nicely landscaped and very dog-friendly. We stopped by the ice cream store and the owner invited the dogs in and gave them a small scoop of vanilla ice cream with a dog biscuit. Jazz ate the biscuits and Oscar ate the ice cream.
